I never thought I'd be so pleased with an A&G blaster box…

I'm not really an A&G fan, but the other day I bought a $20 blaster box of 2012 A&G on impulse, with the hopes of pulling a Harper RC. I did not. (Nor did I pull anything else of interest to me.)

However, in less than a day after posting what I did pull, I've been able to trade from these cards (and only from these cards) for not just the A&G Harper RC, but these other cards as well:

-- All of the 2012 A&G Red Sox base cards

-- All of the "World’s Tallest Building" insert cards (for my tall-building-obsessed five-year-old)

-- Six of my (high-priority) 2004 Red Sox wants

-- And a handful of other 2012 A&G RCs (Darvish, Cespedes, 3 Lawrie, 2 Rosario and 2 Montero)

...and I still haven't traded any of the base cards I pulled (including the SPs) and still have half a dozen of the inserts I pulled, too.

I guess if you want to make trades, there's a lot to be said for picking up a little of what everyone else is collecting… even if it's not a brand you really like to collect.

Now, I wait impatiently for my 2012 Bowman Platinum and Finest boxes to arrive!

A lot of other trading card sites scoff at such low end trading, but to me that is what the hobby is all about. Not all of us can afford a Bryce Harper Super XFractor parallel die cut Hope Diamond Refractor 1/1 auto!

Great story and glad to hear you got some of your wants out of the deal.
