Although I don't sell any of my stuff, I've also never had that type of situation. I wouldn't want it in my collection so I think I'd be drawn to move it. If it holds no sentimental value, dump it. The story is unique enough to draw some interest also... there is a part of me that's laughing at the situation (take no offense).

Feel no shame in unloading it... even at this point... guitar and all.

I don't know much about autos in general and even less about rock and roll star autographs but the Manzarek is not nice. I would sell it for whatever you could get. RIP Mr. Manzarek.
