Hey guys, as almost all of you know, I am a die-hard Sox fan, and 2005 was a magical season. It was the first year I was interested into baseball, and I was only 6 when they won the World Series, but it's something I'll never forget. I remember watching the World Series with my family and my grandpa, but I had to go to sleep during the later part of the game because it was past my bedtime. I remember waking up the next morning so happy to see that they won. It was an amazing time of baseball for me. I want to almost "relive" those moments by getting an autograph AND a blue refractor of everyone that played on the team that year. Whether they only played one game, or all 162, I want them. Here's my progress so far. I know it's not much so far, but I hope to continually add pieces to this. This is a really meaningful project. Thanks for looking.

List of players/coaches. Bolded are the are the autographs I have. If the name is in blue, I have a blue refractor of them. If the name is both bold and blue, I have an autograph and a blue refractor of them.

Good project, think how cool that will be when it's done--even if it is the South Siders:)

I might have an Ozuna auto around here still, would be in a Marlins uniform most likely--not sure if he had any in a Sox uniform. For those players without certified autos in a Sox uniform are you considering doing IP autos of Sox cards for them?

Thanks! I was hoping to get cards in a Sox uni, but I know that wont be possible. I'd get autos of them in other teams uniforms as well if they don't have an auto with the Sox.

I picked up this bad boy yesterday.

Jon Garland went 18-10 with a 3.50 ERA, 115 strikeouts, and led the AL with 3 shutouts in 2005. He also made the All Star Team that year and was critical to the starting rotation that led the Sox to win the World Series.

I also got Brandon McCarthy and Joe Borchard in. Knock 2 off the list. :)

Nice collection goal! Best regards, David PS if I find any from your wantlist in my collection..I'll mail them to you...no charge!

Wow David... That is so nice of you. I assume you collect Morneau/Twins? I'll see if I have anything for you.

Got my past auto/gu box and pulled this one for you! Mark Buehrle chicago whitesox Leaf cerfited cuts 15/25.

Wow! Thanks for looking. Do you have a scan? I'd love to see what it looks like. I'm not sure I have any Twins right now, but I'll take a look.

I got this Mark Buehrle yesterday. He is a 4 time All Star, has thrown a No-Hitter and a Perfect Game, and even saved game 3 of the '05 World Series. My Grandpa was at his Perfect Game and Buehrle is one of his favorites. I wish Mark was still on the Sox, but I wish him nothing but the best.

Here's a few new additions.

Ozzie Guillen was the manager of the Sox during the '05 World Series run. He played for the White Sox from 1985-1997 and was a 3 time All Star and managed the Sox from 2004-2011. He was also the Manager of the Year in 2005. Thanks for this IP autograph wwechampion619.

Shingo Takatsu played for the White Sox in 2004 and 2005. He had his best season in 2004, with a 2.31 ERA in 56 games, along with 19 saves.

Brian Anderson played for the Sox between 2005-2009. He led the MLB in fielding percentage in 2008. He has since converted to a pitcher but he hasn't made it back to the Big Leagues yet.

Fun to watch your great progress! 8-8 thus far, they should have another great season this year!
Thank you. I got this Neal Cotts IP auto today. He went 4-0 appearing in 69 games, throwing 60.1 innings and compiling a 1.94 ERA in 2005. Cotts won the Setup Man of the Year Award. Cotts pitched in all four games of the World Series and was the winning pitcher Game 2. Thanks so much for the freebie crazybella8 and it's weird because Cotts is on the Rangers, the team the Sox are playing tonight.

I haven't updated this for the longest time, but here are some new additions. :)

Tim Raines played for the Sox between 1991 and 1995. He hit .306 with 16 homers in 1993. He was the first base coach in 2005.

Harold Baines played for the Sox from 1980 to 1989; 1996 to 1997; and 2000 to 2001. He was a 6X All Star, and his #3 is retired by the Sox. He was the bench coach in 2005.

Willie Harris played for the Sox between 2002 and 2005. He was on the World Series team in 2005, and he scored the winning run in Game 4.

Freddy Garcia was a critical part of the rotation for the Sox in 2005. He had 14-8 record that season with a complete game in the ALCS.

Juan Uribe was the starting shortstop for the Sox in 2005. He hit 16 homers and 71 runs batted in. He also made an amazing catch in the World Series.

As an added challenge, I decided to try to acquire a blue refractor of even player as well. Here's what I have gotten so far. :)

IMG_0011_zps26c78e07.jpgIMG_0012_zpsa25b427a.jpg

So far, I am over halfway done on the Autograph part, and over 20% done for the blue refractors. Thanks guys. :)!
