Opened a pack of 2014 Inception and pulled a AJ McCarron Patch #'d 2/10! Very nice card! My oldest son pointed out a possible slight issue with the card though. The patch is clearly the lower half of an 8. More than likely from the shoulder. I called Topps and they said to send it in as a Damaged card to be replaced. What would you do? I know errors can sometimes be a good thing, but...
Any thoughts are appreciated!

I'm not following you as to why this is a damaged or error card. Patches are usually part of a letter or number from a jersey worn/used by a player.

Now it makes sense. He didn't say what number he wore in the original post.

Sorry for not giving more information, but yes, that is the question. He was assigned the #5 and has worn that # since being drafted. The patch on the card is clearly the lower portion of an 8.

What would you do?

Man that's a nice patch! Are you a collector of his or are you trying to get rid of it? I bet even though it's an 8 someone would still want it.
