It took a couple days to decide there's probably not enough in this set for me to think this buy was a good idea.

I'm pulling the HOF inserts and the Cubs stuff. Base won't be listed, either. Mainly looking for Cubs variations from the Theo era.

If you are trading the Abreu, I have the Jorge Soler 1st hr commemorative coin I could trade.

thanks
Henry

Regarding the refractor, the two refractors have shine to them, like refractors do. I have no idea what it's officially called, but it looks like a refractor to me.

I think I want more than a Rick Reuschel card for the Abreu. Abreu had a WAR over 5 as a rookie. Reuschel is retired. I even have a siggie of Reuschel in my Cubs auto collection, so naaaah.

The Soler coin is at least intriguing. I'll think about it, as long as you understand I have no idea what I'm supposed to be calling the Abreu card.

No. Looking at the league leader card again, it's serial numbered to 50. So now, I have no idea what a rainbow is. But there is no rainbow to the Abreu or the Santana.

Oh, well

The league leader card is a Snow Cano and Abreu and Santana if there Rainbows should sorta remind of those 95 Topps Cyberstat cards or even Fleer Tiffany cards

I eventually figured out they are the rainbows when I saw someone refer to them as Rainbow Foli Parallels. There is no rainbow, but they are foil parallels. Calling them rainbows seems silly, but whatever.

Thanks for the responses.

Trying to figure that myself and so far nothing

Bastardo 222, Buchanan 218, Byrd 187, Franco 309,
Hamels 10, Lee 212, Papelbon 143, Revere 123, Ruiz 233, Utley 163
Clemens F40-14 Revere R-11

In a team bag. All I need is Theo-era Cubs or HOF variations enough to make it worth the trip to the post office.

See how easy this can be, folks?

By the way, I have a Ruiz piece on the way from eBay you might want.

Sorry, I don't have any variations. Thanks anyways!

WalMarts and Targets count as variations, as do camos. Parallels, I guess is the term, but anything in a variation is what I'm after.

Ahh, Parallels! When I hear Variations, I think of the Topps Photo Variations of the last few years. Would these "variations" work for the Phillies lot, which has a BV of $7.60? LMK. Thanks!

PM sent, Tom.

You did bust out the heavy artillery. :) Much appreciated. I wish that were the standard when seeking really nice cards.
