Bench traders,
long time members or new.... I think it should make sense to everyone that when you post so many threads with just one inquiry, you are unnecessarily spamming and burying other traders threads. If we were to all do the same thing it would be incredibly hard to find anything having to navigate through so much.
Please consider consolidating under a common theme whether it's a card brand or player or year.... I'm curious what the moderators think since I have not seen any comments on the topic or addressing individuals. Appreciate all of your presences here and efforts to make it above and beyond.
Thanks, Rooster.

Its Bench rule number 7. Do not post back to back in the same thread within a 24 hour period, are not allowed. You can always post all of your posts on one post.

Are you talking about someone posting a "player want" and then another post for "another player want", instead of making one post with all the their "player wants"?

Or offering different items for trade, but each item has its own thread?

BIlly

So as an example I should have not have 3 different threads for 2021 Topps Update under Set builders? One for base card only traders, One only for Insert traders, and a third for Specific Inserts like TC92s. Should all 3 be combined into one thread

The mods are trying to keep an eye out for this type of thing and members have been contacted about it. It is a fine line to keep the boards clean and the membership happy.

We are doing are best - please remember, we are volunteers and do have other stuff going on in our lives.

I’m guessing you’re referring to the member who has 12 out of 20 threads now on page 2, all posted within two hours of each other yesterday?

And a message was sent to that particular member.

The following is not directed at anyone in this thread, or the person whose post I quoted (just so happens to be the last post in the thread) - there are currently 26 "reports" for moderators to follow up on. Of those 26, 1 of them mentions "spamming". Everything else is basically busy work for the mod team. As mentioned previously, we are volunteers. We have other things going on in our lives, and while we do our best to keep things running smoothly here on The Bench, occasionally, things will slip by us. Please do not take anything into your own hands - send a message to a mod, file a report with specific details of what the issue is. If you take it into your own hands, it is very possible that the mods will see you as just as guilty.

In the past, every forum had one or two moderators specifically designated to watch that particular forum. At that point in time, from what I can tell/remember, there were about 15 moderators to watch everything. Now, as the membership grows, we are down to I believe 4 active moderators. That is a lot of ground to cover in terms of daily threads and posts to keep an eye on. If certain things truly upset you on the site, please, message the owner and request to be a moderator. It is a great position, you are uncompensated and get to listen to everyone complain. Plus, the bonus that, every time you do have to warn or suspend someone for breaking the rules, you get to receive a return email telling you how much of an *** you are.

So please, let's just use common sense and if you have a problem, refer to the Golden Rule - Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.

There is no need to delete a thread that had a use at one point. It will fall off into archives if no one responds. It also affects the post counts of all members in the thread. I have been a moderator for over 15 years and have never deleted a thread for non-spam purposes. Just let them disappear and save everyone the hassle (you can unsubscribe from thread to ignore it as well)

When I finish sets I request that moderators remove my thread but Ive noticed alot of posts that say in initial thread that set is DONE but for some reason some people keep responding to it and the tread gets bumped up. I almost daily update my want/dupe lists and change the Update date to tell people my lists are current as of a particular date as I pick up cards from ebay or sportlots or make trades and remove cards form dupe lists.

I dont see anyone who has 12 of 20 posts on page 2 anywhere that you arw referring to
