I didn't know where to post this but the Dennis Hull Topps card from the very next year (1971-72) had this facinating factoid. It said "Works on a farm in the off season". Talk about times changing!!! Neither he nor his more famous older brother Bobby, appear to have grown up on a farm and Dennis was an established NHL star and had played 7 seasons for the Blackhawks at this point.
I thought we are told that Amercians won't do this kind of work. Oh wait, Dennis Hull is Canadian. LMAO!!
We all know players back then took jobs in the of season but working on a farm?? Holy crap!!! I'm wondering which was the tougher gig, the ultra physical NHL season or the back breaking work on a farm? Either way props to Dennis Hull for being a bad mo........HUSH YOUR MOUTH!. i dug up my 69-70 Dennis Hull - the back says "Also like his brother, Dennis is a farmer in the offseason."
His wikipedia page says he is a cattle farmer in Ontario.
