So I've been here over 13 years now, have tons of 100% positive feedback on Blowout, Beckett and eBay (among other places) and have 12 trades under my belt in the last month on here. But yet the must send first tag is there. I haven't had to send first on any of my trades as the other trader has been understanding due to my feedback elsewhere. But how long does tha stupid tag stay on? I'm guessing it's still on there because of a glitch or something. But I just wanted to know.

I think you need to make 20 successful trades or transactions. It used to be 20 trades with 20 different members but it is my understanding that you only need 20 trades overall now.

I never worry about the other member mailing first if they seem legit. If they are squirrely, they would have to send first. So far that has worked out fine for me but that is a personal preference.

This is correct - from the FAQ section:
  1. New user restriction: New members will be required to send first on all transactions, even if they are the seller, until they have successfully completed a total of 20 transactions.
And I haven't looked at your trader rating - but if it is less than 5.0, that would also contribute to your MSF rating.

Thank you. It's 12 right now. I haven't been forced to send first on any since I have feedback on several other platforms. Just dealing with 1 now that's wanting me to send first. So I was seeing how long the MFS tag stayed on. So even though I've been here 13 years and have 100% on other sites (eBay, Blowout, Beckett), it can't be removed? Kind of frustrating. Seems it should be able to be over-ridden by an admin.

Thanks. I haven't had to send first on any yet. Everyone says based on the years I've been here and my outstanding feedback on other sites, they're not worried. It was more to see how long the stupid tag stays there. I've been here 13 years, it's crazy it's still on there anyways.

All of us have had the MSF avatar at one time, just 8 more transactions, if you maintain the 5.0 rating, and it will be auto removed. That is part of the situation coding, mods cannot remove until the 20 transaction threshold has been reached.

Gotcha. I've just got 1 trader I'm dealing with now, and he's adamant I send first. And I don't think I should have to since I haven't had to yet. It's only like a $2 card, so if I get scammed I'm not too concerned. But it's still the fact he still wants me to send first even though I'm well established (13 years here and tons of 100% feedback on other places).

There are lots of members here who play very strictly by the rules because they've probably been burned before. I recognize your handle from SCF, but many may not — there's some crossover between the sites, but not a ton. The Bench defines "well-established" as 20 successful trades on The Bench, not elsewhere. If eBay had this rule, you wouldn't be able to claim that you had 100 positive feedbacks on The Bench or SCF or whatever to overwrite whatever code/system they've instituted to create trust within their specific community. It's just the way it works here.

I'm going to weigh in here, first of all it is a 25.00 card not a 2.00 card. You do your trades and the tag gets removed. I honestly don't understand what the big deal is and if you think I'm going to rip you off then mail padded mailer with tracking because the way this has gone I will definitely spend the extra 3.00 to have tracking.

You keep bringing up how long you've been a member here like that has anything to do with it. You average less than one trade a year. We all had to send first until we got to 20 trades. It's not a big deal. You'll get your end of the deal its just going to take an extra 5 days. Rules are rules.

I guess it's just something I need to get used to. Doesn't make it right, but I have no choice. Like actually using Beckett and not actual values. I didn't know anyone did that anymore, but some people still do that for whatever strange reason. I didn't even know Beckett was still around anymore.

All 12 have come in the last couple of months. I had forgotten about this site (for obvious reasons) until recently. But my other feedback should weigh worth something here like it does on every other site around. But it is what it is. Some sites are just different. All good.

My hat's off to you on your patience, @7timecy - I would have just walked away after this public display.

Ok, gonna lock this one down. The user agreement clearly spells out rules we all need to abide by, so before we get contentious, locked.
