I took this coin out of my washer. What happened to it? Is it a valuable error?

Did you see it before it went into the washer? Did it look like this?
Looks like a slug now... no way the washer did this. People do strange things to coins. I've come across several painted coins. I had a Zippo lighter that had Buffalo nickle glued to the front on a little metal arrowhead.
Honestly, I think what you have is worthless because chances are someone did this to it, if it came out of the mint like this then ya... but they have very sophisticated quality control machines and this would have been caught.
Most error coins are that valuable anyway. Most only commanding a few dollars unless they are older. At least that is the case for the State Quarters and the National Parks quarters which are recent. I put those two sets together recently and error are no bonanza for those.
