These Ohtani Prices legit?

Anyone else seeing the prices on Ohtani cards recently? How long have they been this inflated.

I was sorting some stuff, as I have tons boxed up from moving a number of times the past few years. Found these I bought back in 2019 and saw the sales price on the Ohtani RC /99

The other values of sold greens /99 are not over $1000 though…that was a first print #01/99…
I would think yours is around the $400-500 mark…

Ah, good point, mine is 5/99. Although I am fairly sure I paid less than $10 for it.

I sold a couple of Ohtanis to fund some PC purchases and yes, these prices are legit. They have steady climbed all off season. The Archives RC is sitting at 250.00 right now. I sold a couple of my duplicates and bought a Joe Dimaggio autograph. Win/Win.

Jawohl.........Same one, maybe 2 months ago..........Anything with the RC logo, I'd sell it...........If he does well this season, who knows? Golden right now..........

Raw Heritage #600 is just under $200 now. A PSA 9 is $275 and a 10 is $650.

If you can find a decent raw, buy it at $200!

After grading and shipping you would be at around $250, so if it is a 9 or higher you win!

An 8 is around $170, so even if you get unlucky, you either have an Ohtani encapsulated RC for yourself, or you are only out $80.

With PSA shipping times right now, and how much low end Ohtani is growing (crazy to say low end with $200 prices!), you could be looking at:

In three months!

PSA 8 - $250 (break even)
PSA 9 - $350 (make $100)
PSA 10 - $1000 ( ca ching!)

Cash out all (but one or two for your PC) of your Ohtani RCs and get something nice for the PC.

I have been trying to turn all the Ohtani RCs I had into Kobe and Jordan 90s cards.

I am down to three Ohtani RCs left. 2 for me, one more to trade for the right card, and I got 6 nice Jordan and Kobe cards for about 8 Ohtani RCs. There are less Kobe and Jordan shiny cards out there than Ohtani RCs, so in ten years time, Ohtani will be able to be bought for a tenth the price they are now, but Kobe and Jordan will only go up.

Same with Gehrig. I really miss the Gehrig autos and relics I used to have and the Ruth relics. Traded them for BC autos of decent players, then the bottom fell out. The all time GOATS will never fall in value, and playing day cards cannot be made again. Ohtani has several years of signing and having new cards.
