Michael Jordan R Tifacts Autograph

Hey Everyone,
I am new to the site and trying to figure out the best way to sell some of my Michael Jordan basketball cards. The most valuable one that I'm most interested in selling is an 2004 Upper Deck R-Class R Tifacts Autograph. I have number 49 or 50. A piece of his warm up jersey is inside the card. I've seen two of these cards on Ebay one was for $15k and the other was 20k. I have no idea if they sold or not. Just curious the best way to go about selling this card or if anyone up here would be interested? My card isn't graded but 2 local shops said it should definitely grade a 9.0 or potentially 9.5. Thanks for any help with this.

Welcome to the Bench friend, and that is a SHARP card! I know very little about grading, other than you typically get more for your re-sold items if they are graded! I will let some of my friends on here who know a LOT more than me on the subject fill you in about grading. I will say that a guy I know just got a bunch of Jordans graded and they all came back lower than he thought, he was disappointed. That having been said, everyone thinks they are going to get rich off of a bunch of base Jordans. Unless its an authentic RC or an autographed/game used piece like you have here, its going to bring some cash, but not what you probably have here.

That having been said, I dont know that you are going to realize this card's full sales potential without grading, and would suggest COMC or ebay (check on fees, etc. I know the higher the sale, the higher the commission the site takes). In any event, I grew up outside of Chgo watching Michael and Scottie do nothing in the 90s except win Championships, which was a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing this cool item here!!

Thanks for the reply and information Kevin. A friend of mine says PSA wait times and charges on grading a card this valuable would be pretty ridiculous right now. I need to call them and get details I guess. Says they could charge $600-1000 depending on what they value the card at and he thinks it is a $10k card so the grading cost would be substantial. I just need to find out the details for sure. I'm with ya, I grew up watching Michael Jordan as well and it was a lot of fun during those years. I almost hate to part with the card but it would be good for someone to have it that is more passionate about valuable cards than I am. It has just been in a safe protector and in a locked safe for 20 years, I never do anything with it.

Heck yeah,get your money for it! If its just sitting, my attitude is the same, get it sold!

Your friend is right, wait times and charges for grading are crazy high right now. I have a few friends who are waiting months for their items to be returned. Its wild. Everyone dug through their cards during the lockdown and sent them in it seems like!

In any case, thanks again for sharing.....I had never seen that card before, it is super cool!

Send it to PSA, spend a lot to grade it, then send it to a consignment site like pwcc or probstein for the highest eyes on the auction and limited hassle
