My “Decade System” for buying graded cards

Not sure if anyone else has a system for buying graded cards, but here is mine. If the card is from 2000-present it needs to be a 10, if it’s a card from the 90’s it needs to be a 9 or better, if from the 80’s it needs to be an 8 or better, 70’s a 7 or better and so on. By sticking to this system it seems to get the best value for my money. This seems to narrow down the search for cards when there are so many cards out there that have all different grades.
