I agree but it is an all decade team card representing the 1970's. There were other great backs in the 70's though.Since there are three running backs, it would have been nice to see Barry Sanders as the fourth.
That was a nice buy. There still are good deals to be had out there. Also very decent centering. A lot of '59s are off.
I found it at one of my LCS. They had one which was soft, for half the price, but I avoid lowgrade, This one was $25, which was the limit I set myself for the card. They had a Starr, but so o/c it was miscut, so I'll keep looking.
I don't often like modern cards - players offset against fantasy backdrops - but this one is super nice.Too nice to wreck this one....
you wouldn't happen to have a BV on it? i guessed it's around $50.That was a nice buy. There still are good deals to be had out there.
I had to look up to see if Hornung still held the single season scoring record of 176 points in 1962. Turns out LaDanian Tomlinson broke it in with 186 points 15 years ago or so. LT did it in a 16 game season and Hornung set his long standing record in only 12! He had the advantage of being the kicker on that powerhouse Pack team but he had to share carries with Jim Taylor who I think won the rushing title that year.............the only year Jim Brown did not win it. AN astounding record from another era ot football though.
Both my Beckett's Vintage and Beckett's Football monthly are from 2021 but they both show that Hornung card at $60.you wouldn't happen to have a BV on it? i guessed it's around $50.

Man oh man... if it was a Refractor it'd be almost 6x as valuable!! So goes Brady cards of all years. The BV on this is already nuts. And this looks like a really nice one, I know the fuzzies and dots are from top loader and scanner! I wouldn't take it out either.
Yah, If I ever go to trade it, Ill have to put it in new loaders.Man oh man... if it was a Refractor it'd be almost 6x as valuable!! So goes Brady cards of all years. The BV on this is already nuts. Maybe a screw down case... I think I put anything over $50 BV in cases if they look remotely good! lolYah, If I ever go to trade it, Ill have to put it in new loaders.
