There's 25 of them and it's out of a new, semi-popular product. I have seen a lot of Griffey stuff go for obscene amounts. There will be others. Just wait it out.
After almost a year and a bunch of searching, I have finally completed the rainbow of Nomar from 08 Heroes. The last card I needed was purchased on ebay at the end of August. It was mailed shortly after that and then was subsequently lost in the mail. It finally got found by the post office...
I'm a little skeptical of this set. I don't know if it was just a ticket featuring the 1974 World Series or it was an actual 1974 World Series ticket. Either way, it was on a Rich Harden card. He wasn't even alive for the 74 Series. To me that is a little odd.
Collector's Edge went out of business a long time ago. What you have is probably a bankruptcy card. Once they went under all of their assets were sold off, similar to the Fleer situation.
I have not seen the O Pee Chee blank backs yet but I am thinking they are 1/1s. I don't recall seeing the walmart or target issues either but I have not been actively searching.
I did bid on, and win, one card from his recent listings. The only reason I bid was because it was an actual proof card. It is much larger than a regular card and you can tell by the photos. I passed on the other ones that he made.
Just checked, this is the only BGS 10 in existence. There are 94 BGS 9.5s out of a total population of 3998 cards graded. Average grade on these cards is an 8.0 so a 10 is a huge deal. This guy will make a fortune on this card.
1) Done. I didn't set a number goal this year so it was easy to just do what I like.
2) Picking up stuff as it becomes available. They don't get much love.
3) Finished Harden and need one more card for Nomar (Beige #/299)
4) Also done. Haven't added much but have found some pretty nice...
