    1970 Topps Baseball Wantlist

Hello all - Went to a card show yesterday and started a new project - 1970 Topps Baseball Set. I'm looking for the following cards in ExMt or better. I don't have much to trade from 1970, but have quite a few from 1971 through 1979. The lists on my webpage may be a little out of date as I...

    Vintage milestone

Dewayne- Congratulations! That is definitely a collecting milestone to be proud of. Since you brought up that this is the first set you have completed since 1974 and have bought others, I have a quick question. Do you think overall that it cost you more to collect the 1968 set than it...

    WTB-2012 Topps Update set

Hello all. I'm not around much and not doing much collecting anymore as life has gotten in the way. I am still trying to keep my string of Topps base and Update/Traded sets going. So I'm looking to buy a 2012 Topps Update set (complete). Payment would be in the form of USPS money order. I...

Been in the hobby to long

1988 Topps: Ellis Burks and Matt Nokes  I think I have a binder still kicking around with over 100 of each in old brittle pages. The cards probably wouldn't come out whole if i tried to take them out. Great topic, Marvin

How does the baseball off season affect your card collecting?

I think my card collecting habits actually pick up in the off season for a couple of reasons. My busiest times at work correspond with the baseball season. With the decrease in the amount of daylight hours in the fall and winter, I have more "inside time" to spend on the computer. My $.02, Marvin

    2011 Topps Diamond Giveaway: RINGS?

I haven't been around much lately so I apologize in advance if this question has already come up. After the Million Card Giveaway last year, I swore I was not doing anymore of these things, but my 7 year old wanted to redeem the codes. So I've plugged in 39 codes (and haven't gotten crap for...

    2010 Topps Million Card Giveaway

They send you a list, but it does not include the code that unlocked the card. Thanks, Marvin

    2010 Topps Million Card Giveaway

I received my requested cards over the weekend. The cards themselves were nothing spectacular, but I asked them to ship everything that was pre-1976. The 1962 Steve Bilko (#422) card would have been perfect for the "Cards You Put in Your Bike Spokes" give-away, there are multiple creases...

Million Card Giveaway - Shipping Time?

I'm sure this isn't a whole lot of help, but I requested mine to be shipped on February 11th and still have not received mine either. Thanks, Marvin

    Most Treasured card?

I got this one from my uncle. My uncle got it from a friend for inspiration after my uncle was in a car accident in 1967 that left him a quadriplegic. When I started collecting in the late 1980's, my uncle gave it to me for "safe keeping." Great topic, Marvin

A new way to carry your cards...

Would it be possible to "retro-fit" an old laptop case or maybe one of those old CD cases (that carried 60 CDs)? Maybe better yet would be an old cassette tape case, if you could find one. Just an idea, Marvin

Seriously considering opening a card shop...

A friend of mine has a brick and mortar store (going on 20 years now), but still does a number (at least once a month) of card shows a year to make it all work out. When I talked to him about doing the same he gave me a very simple piece of advice - "Card shops are for buying, card shows are...

Card shops in the Greenville/Spartansburg, SC Area?

Anyone know of any good card shops in the Greenville/Spartansburg area of South Carolina? Also does anyone know if The Bullpen in Hendersonville, North Carolina is still open? I was there last year and this was a great shop. I signed up on the email list, but haven't heard anything in months...

Going back to card show tomorrow, what to buy

Personally, I would buy vintage stars in the best (ungraded) condition I could find. But that sort of the way my collection is geared. Good Luck!
