I'm going to try to mail out your cards for this trade tomorrow or Saturday. I am sending you the 1990 AP Emmitt RC, the Pacific Picks the Pros Gold Emmitt and the Xs and Os Issac bruce. I checked these in the Price Check room a few weeks ago and those 3 cads add up to $31. ($15/$10/$6)...
One of the best features of the 1960s cards were the subsets. League Leaders, World Series and those awesome combo cards with multiple players on them with clever titles like Buc Belters and Bird Hill Aces..
Beautiful card BTW!!!!!
I didn't know (or had forgotten) that he died in October. He was a pitch man for Skoal Chewing tobacco and whenever I think of him Iit is his opening line in those ads "Hi, I'm Walt Garrison" in that Texas drawl. I'll bet some of those ads are on Youtube although probably age restricted...
Boy, Neighbors and Evans are really similar looking after looking at their cards. Stofa was the guy with the thin face I believe. THe only card ever made of him was a 69 Topps with him in a Dolphins uniform with helmet on a Bengals card. You could see he had a thin face even through the...
Was it O.J.? Or was he the next year? I think the #1 pick in 67 was Bubba Smith from my alma mater.
I thought you'd like that video. Hard to believe Miami was considered an outpost back then instead of a destination like today thanks to the marvels of air conditioning. I was having...
The 25 cent stadium tax is the deal breaker for me even if it is included in the outrageous $3.50 ticket price! NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESNTATION!.....or something like that.
Seeing as you are a long time Dolphins fan and the President, Treasurer and Enforcer of the Richard Lumber Fan Club, I figured you'd like this short documentary on the 1966 Dolphins. THe best part is when Richard Lumber purposely threw an interception to Fred "The Hammer" Williamson so the...
When I was looking for some of your needs I realized there were some prominant Cowboys that were not on your list. Lee Roy Jordan and HOFer Mel Renfro were two biggies. And HOFers Herb Adderly and Lance Alworth were two others that had late career runs with Dallas. Seems like there was...
Smoke signals.
It might as well be that since I am probably the lowest tech person on this site. I use a home computer which is about as far advanced technologically as I ever care to be. LOL
It appears that you are looking for Chicago Bears only. The reason I ask is that the 1969 Topps 4 in 1s are not numbered but Chicago Bears appear on 10 of those cards so I assume you have 1 of the 10. Do you want the complete 4 in 1 cards or would he punched out solo bears players be...
Some more finds tonight for you. Go ahead and delete thes as well.
Don Perkins 1965 Philadelphia 52, 1968 Topps 50
Chuck Howley 967 Philadelphia 53
Bob Lilly 1972 Topps 145
George Andrie 1966 Philadelphia 54
Bob Hayes 1970 Topps 189, 1971 Topps 190
Cornell Green 1964 Philadelphia...
LMAO!! . You got that right. For some reason thais particular card always stuck out in my mind as one of my earliest sports card memories! It seems I remember more commons from back then, than I do the stars. There are probably 8 to 10 commons from this set that I remember so fondly, Mr...
NICE!
I've really taken a liking to hockey cards of the 70s to mid 80s in recent years. You just don't see as many of them as the other three sports and I think they are a pretty good bargain since demand for them is lower than their counterparts.
I thought he did as well. Turns out he played 5 years with the Rams and 3 with Dallas and retired after the 1967 Ice Bowl. The first Cowboy kicker I remember was Mike Clark.
Only had a few minutes to search today but I came up with a few more you can delete from your want list.
1977 Topps15 (Charlie Waters)
1978 Topps 160 (Cliff Harris) 385 (Charlie Waters)
I'll certainly find more as I have more time to search.
BONUS ALERT! i forgot to mention yesterday...
You can either mark the following pending or delete them from your list becuse they're coming at you in our next trade. Hopefully they won't take the scenic route through Georgia this time!
1962 Topps 38 Eddie LeBaron, 42 Billy Howton
1963 Topps 75 Don Perkins
1967 Philadelphia 50 George...
