Pearson, who was playing in his first NFL game, was the 1st option on 66 Circle Option, or as it is more commonly known, the Immaculate Reception. Coach Chuck Noll had hoped to sneak Pearson into the game and hoping the Raiders would ignore him. Terry Bradshaw was unable to find him and the play turned into what NFL Films called the greatest play of all-time.
