1953 Bowman Color Variation?

I thought that I was relatively knowledgeable on vintage variations until I came across what looks like a variation of #84 from the 1953 Bowman Color set. It has Bauer's elbow covered with what looks like a green bandage. It doesn't seem to be altered as I felt the surface I can't feel anything on it. Does anyone have any information on this 'variation'? I can supply a scan of this through email. Thanks for any help. [email protected]
