2008 Heroes Baseball Damaged Cards Question

I busted a retail box and got 6 ysl cards that were all severely dinged on the upper left corner while NONE of the other cards had any damage whatsoever. Is this common ? UD inserted these just figuring they'd get away with it most of the time ?

Anyone have a specific person to contact ? I used to have a contact but she's since moved on.
