2008 Topps Series 1 & 2 jumbo boxes

Anyone around here open these back then?

I got the itch to open some cards so I sprung for a box of each from Blowout Cards on their opening day sale. About 35 each seemed not so bad. At the very least, I'll have some cards to give to my friends kids.

I put a set together back in '08 and than just opened a couple boxes of both Series I & II & U/H about a month ago.

Was pretty happy with the break!

You should pull at least a black/57 out of each box, and it would be neat to see you hit a nice Autograph! Great price on jumbos.

I think the big SP out of series 1 was the photoshopped Rudy Giuliani Red Sox card and its even rarer red border parallel. Great price for the jumbos - one auto and one G/U... plus the mentioned black borders... good luck!

Not sure there were any SPs in 2008 Topps (besides the Blacks/Golds), I think they started mixing in the HOFers as SPs in 2009.

Only one I can think of is the #234b Red Sox team card with Rudy Giuliani pictured with the team. A very cool card in my collection.

I hope you did better than me, I saw your original post and picked up this deal...a box each of series 1 and 2. Got them in today and I didn't get a single Topps Black, the auto in series 2 was Delwyn Young and the "relic" in series 1 was a Justin Verlander commemorative patch, not GU. At least I pulled a Ubaldo Jimenez auto and Prince Fielder jersey, so it COULD have been worse.
