Hi All,
I've been busting 2010 Chrome baseball and I amazed and a little frustrated at the condition issues.I have been busting product for 20 years and have never came across so many bad cards.I have one purple refractor that looks like someone shot it with a pellet gun.!!

Issues so far:
Centering,..really bad on a consistant basis, the ones that are centered are few and far between,..I would say only 30%.I have been chasing the Orange refractors and they seem not to be too bad.

Surface bubbles,..I'm seeing alot of this, more then I have ever seen before.Bad protective coating on a quite a few cards.

Roller scratches,..big time on quite a few,I have one card where they are cover by the plastic coating, looks like a car ran over it !!

Rough cuts,..Yo printing guys,..Make sure those blades are sharp !!

I have no idea what happened this year but I have never seen Topps produce chrome cards in this bad of condition, diffentally went backwards on this one !!

My two cents,
Clint

I havent opened any, but from your thread and at least 3-4 others I certainly wont be spending any money on 2010 Topps Chrome, I havent heard a single person yet who was 100% satisfied with the Quality of the cards they recieved.

i agree, so far have only busted a few retail packs but very disappointed in the quality control.
the chrome curl is definately worse than past years and i have had same problem with centering and roller marks.

I forgot to mention the "curl"
I have my stack of orange refractors under my Beckett bible to try to flatten them out !!

I only opened a few packs, but the curling is significant.
I also noticed bad centering on my xfractors.
The Chrome football I opened is in excellent condition. No curling at all.

i second that, the chrome football i have busted have been significantly better in the quality.

You should have opened up some 2010 Bowman! The chrome cards in that product were horrible. Not to mention people wouldn't let you know about the condition before you traded for them so I quit trading for them all together.

I really liked the USA cards but after getting so many bad ones in trades I gave up.

Topps Quality Control is starting to get really bad. I guess that's what happens when you are the only company that has an MLB License to produce Baseball cards.

I have several RC that are going back due to the impression around the player not being lined up right.

Three autos are streaked where something rubbed part of the auto off (like a roller). One auto refractor has the scratched / pellet effort that you described.

Very disappointed - very bad QA/QC. I hope they pay their staff overtime, because returns from this set alone will take a while due to the number of returns.

I'm disappointed too, and to be honest a bit concerned about what going to happen next with future product. If Topps thinks that releasing damaged product is going to increase their sales and profit margin then things are going to be going downhill fast for the future of the hobby.
I'm a die-hard collector but to me it's a hobby and one of the few luxurys I still allow in my life, but if this keeps up I will pull the plug and take a break on buying new product.
I don't mean to throw Topps under the bus with this release, but someone saw what was coming off the presses so they knew it was coming,..
