Wanting to increase my HOF on card and cut auto collection. Looking on ebay and I find a lot of 2011 TRISTAR Obak cut autos for what seems like a low price. I've never seen one, and since my town doesn't have a hobby shop and the next card show is the end of the month and about 2 hours away, it'll be then before I can see one in person.

Any opinions on Obak? Are the cuts certified by a 3rd party?

Hopeing for some expert benchie opinions before I buy.

thanks in advance, John

I think it's hit and miss. I think the sliced up 86 Donruss or Hillshire Farms ball park heroes versions are hideous. Given how reasonable the cards used to make them are, I'd just buy the card instead of a partial card in a cut frame. I do like the cut index card version though, the surrounding design looks nice and the cuts tend to fit the windows much better, it just looks cleaner and less cluttered.

I pulled this one, but I am not crazy about the looks as it was a card cut at the top and bottom. Pic is in my bucket.

They ARE the 3rd party authenticator. From their website http://www.tristarproductions.com/aboutus.html
