I have a knack for pulling Ryan Howard cards...Then I flipped it over and found this:

Any idea what happened there? Looks like they laid down a gold film, then mis-numbered it, and ended up putting it on the left side...

I love cards like these. I cant get enough of them (Yankees of course) I have put together a whole album over the years of these types of errors. It is amazing that these companies now still leak this many out during production. Nice card anyways! Wish it was a Yankee.

I'm guessing the foil was left there and the number was never stamped,.
Strange though that its printed on the side,..Did the card go through sideways, could have, but if that happened, why would the foil be on the card where it is at,..

My guess is that they laid down a full "sheet" of foil without stamping it properly, then since there might not be a graceful way to remove that, they just stamped it on the side?

There's a couple that have sold on eBay, two of the three where the seller specifically notes the error...I suppose I should put mine out there too...
