The different border you got on the mini is probably what is listed as 'gold'.

not sure on the Willow Cove cards.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Mini Gold Borders were only in rack packs. If he got these out of a blaster I think they'd be black borders.

The black borders are more obvious than the gold in terms of differentiation.

If you look at the regular mini's and gold mini's side to side they almost look similiar the difference being on the gold borders...the border is more wider
