2013 A & G question

Hey gang -

I have a question about 2013 Allen & Ginter. I just finished sorting my 2 boxes and found a Pele card #130 that appears to be different than the rest of the base cards. The card is more gray with green lettering as opposed to the regular off-white with black. Is this a special card or is it just my imagination and I should include it with my base set? And if it is special then I need a regular one for my set, I guess.

Hi Jeff! I also pulled the same off colored card. So I'm thinking it could be part of the regular set....off to ebay to see if Pele A & G cards are all the same color? Best regards, David

Does it have text on the back? There are some that are off colored and seem to be on a different card stock and some that have "no text" on the back instead of the text you would expect to find. Not sure which is supposed to be the base card.

Mine has text too. It just looks like the card stock is different and the text is in a different color. Looking at eBay hasn't helped me. People are trying to claim this is an SSP which I highly doubt. And another thing - why is Bill Walton both 100 and 350? They are exactly the same card as far as I can tell.

I pulled a Pele cards that simply says "No Text" on the back. From what I have read it is suppose to be a code SP card. Not sure if it is????

Not sure I think there are a couple others like that 266 and 348 are both Henry Rollins not sure if the cards are the exact same or not though.

On the Pele I think all of the ones with no text came out of retail packs and all of the ones I saw like yours came from hobby. We pulled 3 of the cards like yours so they anr not a SSP in my opinion. I did also pull a black mini pele with no text on it that was different from the regular size card which actually says no text on the back.

They might have something to do with the code this year, that is my best guess

49 base cards short and 26 SPs. No dupes in the base or SPs and minimal dupes in the inserts - no more than one per full size insert set and nothing in the minis. That said, I did have an issue. I think there were way too many full size insert sets. I had hoped that 2 boxes would at least give me the full base set (1-300). Still, it is a good set and one that I look forward to every year.
