I received the following in this hobby only premium product:

Inception NFL follows the same path as Inception baseball.... dark and foreboding. The background on this premium issue appears as a storm. The cards are 3 times as thick as a normal base card. The reverse has personal and pro stats along with 'Career Inception' write up. The photo is glossy with the background as a matte finish.

Topps Inception NFL - a rather pricey gamble to say the least. Here in O'do - the boxes/packs are going for about $110 +/-. Now if one is fortunate and gets a big hit - then it's fantastic. Then there are packs like this one. Don't get me wrong, the cards look great, the production of the cards is excellent, and the overall quality of the cards received is wonderful.
Inception NFL has the 'artsy' feeling to it. To me, football is anything but artsy. Why not rub dirt and sweat and blood on the cards? (Yes, I know that blood and sweat cannot be used on a card for health reasons.... but one could still design a card to look like that.)
I like the patch cards - they are much thicker than the base cards and are very well designed. I especially like the on card auto - looks fantastic.
The player collector will be the primary target of Inception football. To build the base set, might be one heck of a chore - but hey, if that's your thing - give it a go. There can't be that many complete sets out there AND if one decided to build the #ed to 50 set - that would be very special!
Overall grade B - value will be hit and miss at best!
Go buy a pack or two and send the Tebow cards to me!
