Series 1 design this year is a clean, well done design. The focus is on the player and not the external stuff - logos, etc... The front of the card is glossy - but not to the point of chrome. Pictures are full bleed sooooo, be careful if you handle your cards very much - the edges and corners will easily get dinged.
The reverse has complete pro stats and personal stats.
Series 1 is a must for the Topps collector. There are a number of inserts - gold, pink, cammo, hot pink, powder blue, foil, and many others... The player collector should have a good time chasing all of the possibilities. In addition, there are Future Star cards with the minor league stats as well as their major league premier stats...
My favorite insert is the Hand Vintage Stock parallel. They are thicker and have the feel of the older cards from many moons ago.
Overall grade A
Go buy several boxes and send the Rays parallels and inserts to me!
