The season starts Thursday for those who still want to get in. Late joins are allowed as long as Yahoo allows it.

David, it looks like all of the week 1 picks locked after kickoff of last night's game. I seem to recall in past years that we could still change picks for games later in the weekend so long as it was before kickoff. Is this a new setting?
I don't know why they are locked. I don't think there are any settings other than to use the spread or confidence points. We don't use confidence points if anyone is wondering what that is. I will check with Yahoo. I am hoping it's a mistake.
So I forgot how the rule works again because I chose the Eagles over the Cowboys and they won but I got an X does the top dog team have to win by a certain amount?
On the picks page it shows the spread for each game. It appears Monday through Thursday, so it could change if you make your picks early. You are to pick the winner of the spread.
I picked the Eagles to win over the Cowboys literally 10 minutes before the deadline.

I have discovered that all picks for each week must be submitted 5 minutes prior to the first game of the week. This is my oversight. I am thinking that I just selected the default of a drop-down menu that I didn't look at the choices. I am sorry but I can't change it now. I am able to change the number of scores dropped, so the lowest 2 weeks will be dropped from your season total. That should accommodate those that didn't get picks in for week 1.

All tie-breakers also must be finished 5 minutes prior to the first game of the week. This is different from last year.

He just informed me that he believes he locked up week #2 as well with the Buccaneers win. It is going to be a lonnnnng season in this house if this keeps up!!
He won because Indianapolis kicked a field goal as time ran out to avoid a push. It was 4 & 9 at the Denver 42 yard line. Roughly a 60 yard field goal. With 3 seconds left Denver committed a 15 yard penalty reducing the field goal try to 44 yards. The other leaders took Denver.
