So I pulled 5 envelopes out of the box today and was pretty excited. So I go to open the first one and it is empty. I didn't make a note on it and the post mark was from Arizona. Whoever i sent it too didn't seal the envelope so I am lost now. I have an idea or two so we will see.

Now for the successes:

1. Bob Boone - Needed the 89 Topps All Star card signed so I sent it to him along with a 90 Fleer. Received them both signed today. Sent on 2/28/2011 c/o the Nationals (not spring training)

2. George Sotiropoulos - Sent a 10' Topps UFC to card to him on 1/10/2011 and received it back signed on the front andback.

3. Kristen Armstrong - Sent an 09' A&G card to this gold medalist on 3/3/2011 and got her this second time. Sent her months ago and my card must have gotten lost or something. Glad to have her.

4. Carl Pavano - Sent a 10' A&G to him c/o ST on 3/7/2010 and came back today signed.

you send to Eric Young Jr by chance? Didn't even look like he tried sealing the envelope on my return I got from him but I got lucky

Nice Pavano. I had the oppertunity to meet him one night while I was working at the stadium. He is a great guy.
Nice successes, stinks about the mystery one that got away.

Hope you find out who it was from. Two weeks ago went to my box and no kidding, one of my return letters was ripped in half. Still had card in it but literally was torn in two and only reason I got it back was it still had my box number and my zip code. Good luck!!

No I didn't send to him this year. I think it may have been Kenny Lofton. Thats the only Arizona address I sent to recently. But the mystery will continue :)

You know, that reminds me of the time I came home and a storm was coming in. When I opened the mailbox I saw one of my return envelopes fly out and disappear into the night. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. My daughter, however, that that was awesome. She said, "Look dad! Air mail!"

That cracked me up.

Just thinking about her laughter that night still brings a warm feeling and a smile to my face. I always wondered which one disappeared, though.

You had some awesome successes today! Enjoy those instead of the one that didn't come home.
