hey guys, i got one back from former cubs player ivan dejesus. dejesus played only a year or so for the dodgers, if that, so he doesnt have any regular issue dodger cards except for a very limited special dodgers set card. so i finally found one9they are hard to find) however he kept it and sent me a cubs cards instead. the problem is i collect dodger autos not cubs autos! before someone says it, i know, i know, dont send cards your not willing to lose, but it is still irritating! so now i have a cubs auto i dont need or even want...does anyone need or want an ivan dejesus 1982 topps cubs auto card? let me know, thanks

hahah true....im sure it is a great auto for someone, but just taking up space in my collection and now i have to find that dodger card all over again. maybe ill try to find two and then send two and say "keep one, and sign one!" that might work next time. :)

He very well could be one of those guys who will sign a stack of cards and use those for TTM. When you send your cards to him they wind up in that stack and he sends them out. That could be why you didn't get your card back. There are a few guys out there like that.

My suggestion: Sometimes when you send rare cards, the player never seen it before and may want it for their collection. So when I do this, I typically send 2 of the same card... and ask them to sign one and keep the other. Worked every time for me thus far

Congrats!!!!
He was a coach here in Puerto Rico during the Winter league a couple of years ago(2009) and when he saw a card or a photo he did not have He would ask if he could keep it or if the person had an extra one. :)

Elbert,

I might have a pair of DeJesus Dodger cards, I send one your way if I do.
I'll check later today.

Mike

Did he get a better pen yet? when I sent to him he used a thin sharpie or a felt tip pen. Auto wasnt that exciting.
