Is anyone else having trouble with the Panini Redemptions? Over 3 months for one and 2 months for the other two I have. I wrote them on their site to ask why it's taking so long and still no responce in three days.

I'm glad they took over for Donruss, but this is why Donruss Failed.

UPDATE:
Letter from Natalie Rose, Customer Service Supervisor-

Hi Kyle,
We definitely feel the frustrations that customers feel with all the redemptions that have recently released in our products. The wait time may not necessarily be 4 months or 8 months depending on how quick the athletes return the autographs which we try to fill the pending redemptions as soon as the autographs arrive. The time frame of 4-8 months is given to allow us time for the players to hopefully return the autographs. We have only had issues with a few players that take their lovely time about signing and in these few cases, the redemptions are replaced with alternate cards of equivalent value or greater. We have employees that are in constant contact with the players agents to keep them aware of the urgency to get the contracts fulfilled so we can take care of our customers. If we have not received the autographs from any particular player within 4 months minimum, the customer can contact us to have the pending redemption card(s) replaced. Customers are and will always be our number 1 priority and we truly appreciate their patience.

Thank you for your support,

Natalie Rose

I heard some people complaining at my local card shop when I stopped by over Christmas break. It sounds like it's a common problem with Panini. You would think a new(er) brand could learn from others' past mistakes, but apparently not

i have a redemption out from 3 mos. ago...nothing yet. but i think it did say something about allowing like 8 mos. or so
mines just a rookie card nothing special so no worries really from me

Getting an Auto slower is understandable...what I never understood is why it takes so long for UD manufactured letter patches or Topps "rookie redemptions" to show up at in my mailbox.

Have three oustanding from 2009 products... all are common players. Did not buy a single Panini product in 2010, plan to keep that up until they do away with redemptions and sticker autos. Any help with that would be appreciated... ;)

Congratulations on getting rid of the New Member avatar!! Best regards, David

I've been waiting about 2.5 months on a rookie auto/jersey I pulled out of Certified Hockey. That was the first box of Panini I had ever purchased, and due to the number of redemptions I see being pulled from their products (among other issues), it will likely have been the last.

Good its not just me. The worst part about this is that I Paid good money for the only 2010 Tino Martinez Auto Redemption and it looks like he either didn't sign or the 8 months will pass and they will send me some ****** replacement...this stinks!

no one should expect a redemption in less than 6 months from any of the companies and be happy if you get what you sent in for at all.

It took 8 months to get my Louis Murphy redemption, and I am currently on 3 months waiting for Chris Bosh.

I totally disagree. Everyone should expect their redemption in a reasonable amount of time... which certianly isn't six months. Nor is it even 3 months. I personally could live with six weeks.

But as long as collectors continue to buy products with redemption cards in them, the companies will continue to insert them.

If redemptions bother you, take a stand. If they don't, that is your prerogative...

I have had a few now. I have never had one come through. Of the two options to select,(4 months or 8 months) I always select 4 and then as soon as I can request a replacement.

Let me qualify that...

IN my experience, no one should expect it. I do, I just know it is not going to happen. I don't think redemptions should be allowed. If cards have no 'cash value' how can you assign a comparable 'value' card for a redemption you no longer can make?

It's not rocket science, it's a cop-out.

Obviously by now these companies should have figured out a better way to redeem cards, but I think redemption cards are necessary. Some players obviously didnt get their autos back to panini or whichever company in time for production, so they insert the redemptions to buy time. The fact that some people don't get the card they are supposed to is very unfair. I know they try to give you a comparable card, but for people like the Tino Martinez collector, comparable is not the player he was supposed to get. To the lucky people who are supposed to get some common auto and get a kobe bryant as replacement are psyched, but you should get the card it says. I have noticed some redemption cards just say you have recieved a "bonus" redemption so the company not locked into sending a particular card.

Redemption cards are both a blessing and a curse. It's nice that the redemption autos are mostly nice hits, but the wait is excruciating. But sometimes, when the companies don't ever get your redemption card made, they give you a bonus with in either value or extra autos.

I remember once I was supposed to get a Ron Rivera auto worth $30 and they never made it so Topps sent me a Delmon Young auto and a Dan Haren auto that totaled $60 in value.

But I have to ask, has anyone ever not received a huge redemption (100+ BV) and if so, what did you do about it? Did the company really pony up a card of equal value? I only ask because I have a Stephen Strasburg auto redemption that I'm very patiently waiting on, but if it goes another month or so, then I may need to make a decision on asking about replacements.

I once pulled a redemption for a Bobby Abreu Auto/3-Clr Patch #d 25 Yankee Uniform card from Upper Deck. I requested it and it said it was never produced so they would send me a card of equal value...HAHAHA

They sent me a Kei Igawa RC Auto /25. This was after Igawa was sent back down to the Minors. So I was unhappy. I talked to their customer service and let them know I was upset...nothing happened. So finally someone on this site gave me an e-mail to the head of the customer service. I told him my story and 3 days later I got a phone call from him! I told him again what happened and he said there would be a package in the mail for me...

He sent me a couple GUs cards of vintage players and a $150 Box (I forget which one now) but in that box I pulled a $100 Auto and a bunch of $20-$30 GU cards. It took a long time to straighten it out, but in the end I was satisfied.
