Current FAQ for images in Signature:
http://www.thebenchtrading.com/thebench/faq.php?faq=new_faq_item#faq_faq_sig_images
Our site is clean, and easy to use, we have always had this rule in place so as not to have all the additional pics, GIFs, etc. clogging up our trading site.
Recently a few members have been circumventing this by adding URL links in their posts tied to JPG's or GIF's. This is a loophole and we wont stand for it, we allow Pics to be posted in threads for trading purposes and in the general forums that pertain to what The Bench is all about. I understand that you can use these links,JPG's, GIF's, etc. as a trading tool, however we have the nice little WWW button in your sig that you can direct people to your site, so we feel it completely unnecessary to bend on this.
After I Amend the FAQ and notify members who are doing this, violations will be treated just like any other Bench violation, users will recieve a warning and if they continue to abuse this policy they will be suspended.
Edit: original FAQ link has been edited to include information about this.
