Yeah I went today and instead of bubble mailers costing 1.71 to ship they were 0.95

Mailed my bubble envelopes today......each was $1.95!! Regular first class mail was up to .45 cent. This is going to take any bite of my mailing budget! Best regards, David

glad i print my labels at home....a first class package up to 3 ounces with DC now DROPS from $1.75 to $1.64 thanks to DC being FREE on all postage purchased online....

Good for you..but there won't be anyone trading at this rate!! Best regards, David

i dont see why....i print all my labels for domestic trades at home too...that means all my trades can now be shipped CHEAPER...

just to test things out i ran a few samples....ALL DOMESTIC first class parcels (up to 13 ounces) whose postage is purchased online will now cost 11 cents LESS and will include DC for free.....since anyone with a paypal account or credit card can print labels at home most traders (and ebay sellers) should actually see a reduction in shipping costs....

fwiw , small flat rate box rates went up from 5.00 to 5.15 if purchased online - still a pretty good bargain ...

Go ahead and put in 60 to 80 trades for next month..see how many trades or sales you get....that is the bottom line...I'll be looking cutting back big time or a new home!! Best regards, David

Using Paypal multi-order shipping I sent some bubbles out today and they actually cost less than what I was used to paying...I think I paid $1.64 each, as opposed to the $1.75 I was paying for the same thing last week.

I thought if you want people to use your service, you DROP the prices

So bus and cab fares in your town are LOWER than they were 10 years ago? What good would sending more packages do? It would increase man hours to process, increase fuel costs, make the machines fail faster, all of which would INCREASE the expenses. Dropping the prices on their LEAST profitable areas is like the old adage, "we lose a little on every transaction, but we make up for it in volume."

Oh, I hadn't noticed the increase until I Just checked my Reciept. Printing Labels may be worth looking into......as long as they aren't the HUGE 5x7 Labels I've seen.

printing your own labels for your domestic packages is DEFINITELY worth the effort....all you need is either a pay pal account or credit/debit card (to use if you buy your postage directly from the usps website instead of via ebay/paypal) and a printer....no special paper , no special forms...and best of all 9well , next to the price discounts) no driving to the PO or waiting in line - you can either request a carrier pick-up or even easier , just drop them in your own mailbox and your carrier picks them up when he drops off your mail....

only packages i dont ship this way are the international parcels ....

as for the size of the labels , you can manually adjust that using the settings on your printer....i've actually received a few from people who shrunk them down so much they were little more than the size of a business card....personally i use the default size which fits perfectly on a 4x8 mailer....

I really think I'm going to look into that.
Thanks

So where do you go to print the postage? I have a paypal account, do I do it through their site or do it directly through USPS.com?

Eric

You say no special paper, but do you have to at least print it out on label paper? Or can you print it out on plain sheets and just tape it to the package? Thanks,
Brian

just log in to your pay pal account and look for the "multi-order shipping" link (normally it's either on the right side of the page or perhaps in your user menu up top...

from there you can IMPORT your orders (from ebay or other commercial sites) or CREATE them manually (for virtually any address in the US)....if you're making a label for a trade done here , simply choose CREATE , fill in the blanks , save it and then pay and print....voila ! a label that's cheaper than going to the post office...

if you want to use a credit/debit card instead of pay pal , you can go directly to the USPS website ( http://www.usps.com/ ) and follow the on-screen instructions....
