Anyone else sick and tired of the B/S from BECKETT.COM?

I just tried it, took me less than 25 seconds from sign on to complete 2010 topps list--can't hardly complain about that.

I'd consider myself as proficient at using their system as you can be, and I couldn't get 300 cards to load into one of my collections last night. It just kept spinning for about 15 minutes. The point is that at times it is fast, and at times it is frustratingly slow.

Looked at my debit card account.

-No six dollars being refunded.

Called Beckett in Texas and the line went to India. Spoke
to the representative and he asked what the problem was.

Told him the problem.. then told him the site was garbage.

-He didnt say anything, nothing.. not one word on giving it
a chance or learning the system or even telling me why the
error occured.

I asked where my six bucks was at.

- he asked for my email and then said it was now being processed
and that I will have it 5 days from now.

I had to call for a response and Inquiry into getting my six dollars
before it was refunded. I cant believe this company operates like
this. I will, regardless of receiving my refund, will be posting a
complaint with The Better Business Bureau.

If you ever watch box busters (not sure why you would), you will see the type of people you are dealing with.

I stopped using Beckett after the "improved" their site. I just use their Price Guide book. On the more current stuff, I just kind of run blind.
Their other format was so user friendly, even a computer 'illiterate' like me could figure it. I would need one of my kids to navigate it.

Thanks, Rich

Rich, your right. I could be half asleep and look up cards with the
old format.

Im sure they just talk amongst each other sharing ideas that are
completely lacking of logic and common sense, then they clock out
and drive there ashton martins that daddy bought for them.

Hey man,

I love your reply to Autax. You hit the nail right on the head.
I would like do a recorded cast bust, but I don't have any rich relatives who are about to pass away.
I buy my cards at Target and hope I might get lucky and have a few good hits from a blaster box.
I get annoyed when I see these guys getting hits left and right with their case busts.
By the way I have a few Maddux and Jeters. I could send you a list if you are interested.

Yeah, I could use either player, Im still working on a tradelist and dont have
much to work with yet. But, when I get it done, I'll get with you and maybe
I got something you can use.

The thing with the guys in the second video, they acted like they really
didnt want to be there and like you said, You got to target and I go to
walmart or Atlanta Sports Cards for a single box just to maybe get a hit
on a pc item or something to trade for pc interest and we work hard to
get it too! Now, I know some people who do have money and are well off
that are atleast down to earth and have a passion for collecting, those
guys were like aliens from another planet.

I'll get a list together and shoot you a p.m.

If you browse around on their message boards, there's one thread where one of the support/development guys lays out what happened with the "upgrade". He said it was nowhere near ready, but because it "looked nicer" they were forced to roll out the "beta" way too early to help move along the pending sale of the company. So now, they're basically picking back up with the development effort, now having to develop on a "live" site in an attempt to actually complete the upgrades. Of course all this did was cause a major pain for everyone involved, customers, developers and customer support.

But the sale of Beckett went through, so apparently no one bothered to notice that the new site basically didn't work or that it resulted in all of their message boards filling up with complaints. Executives don't see that kind of thing, they just see dollars. And they call the shots.
