I'd bust it. Send in the better Favre rookies to be graded. When you say crawlspace, do you mean the area underneath their house??

Yeah they have a finished basement with a "crawlspace" in the unfinished side (my dad's workspace). Mainly this means a storage area you have to climb into.

I'm not sure if the case is a case of sets or of wax boxes. Sets would be cool because that would mean 16 Favres. I've never messed with graded cards, is it about $20 to grade a card?

I just stumbled on this thread and, like others, boy did it bring back memories. Two things in particular stand out: My buddy and I bought many cases of 1988 Donruss blister packs when Gregg Jeffries was the hottest thing around here this side of the sun. We also got into 1991 Topps cases of cello packs as he worked for a local supermarket chain and could get us a "good deal."
I put together more than my share of sets from those.
Later, when I was about to get married and move, I made an inventory of the wax I had (it was a lot more than the '88D and '91T) and took it to a local fellow who deals in wax. He made me an offer and I loaded it inot the back of my hatchback and, with the rear end dragging along the ground, sold it all.
Now I only have a few '87 Fleer cello packs and maybe a rak pack or two from that same year.
On the other hand, my buddy says his 88 Donruss blister pack cases make nice end tables!:D

Thanks for this great thread!

Frank
