Topps Archives Baseball -- cool set. This is the kind of set that keeps baseball veterans in the minds and collections of collectors. In this set one gets rookies, current players and retired players. Relatively inexpensive way to get some history of the game. The set builder should like the chase. Player collectors will like picking up colored variations along with no sigs, pic variations, and logo swaps.
One should be able to complete a set with around 3 boxes allowing for collation issues and even have enough doubles to trade with others.
The various designs draw interest to the older sets. This can easily introduce potential collectors to go out and chase down one of the vintage sets... pretty cool to start work and build a vintage set. Once it's completed, then the work begins to make it as close to perfect as possible.
Overall grade A
Go buy several boxes and send the Rays parallels, variations, and autos (if any) to me!!
