The best card i have got in trade is this Joe D and then the Koufax would be the next best one.

I traded for a 2011 A&G Mini Wood Starlin Castro 1/1 . Also met a trader here, we did a Face to face trade and swapped $4,500 worth of cards. I do not think it would have happened IRL.
Thanks to the BENCH !

got a scan of that castro? would love to see it.

i'd be puttin up scans of mine, but still pluggin away on this old computer for now.

I can't remember the set now, but years ago I traded for a Whitey Ford Auto /50. Still regret selling it.

Has to be this:

I really liked the patch and how the photo matches it but the quality of the cards that year really sucked (not centered straight, creases, etc.). I think I would have kept it if the card was nicer.

Best card I traded for AND best card I traded away is six43dpnc's Koufax auto up there, ha. The signature looks way nicer in person than it does in that scan.

The best card I traded for that I am keeping is this one:

It's numbered/25. It looks like Donruss just cut up one fielding glove of his so he only has around 150 total glove cards in existence...way tougher than his bat or jersey cards. Gotta love pre-war GU!

I don't have a specific trade on the Bench that has been a knock out awesome card, but I have had a couple trades that were huge and I was very excited for. They involved rotorob and Robert326. They have both helped me out immensely on hard cards from tough sets like high value 70's cards that are in great conditions or SP's.

The best feel good trade was when I traded my Mantle SP insert from 1996 Topps to greatdadx2. He sent me a thank you note over PM's, which I have always kept. I really enjoy helping fellow traders out while trying to knock out these tough needs I have.

The best I got from my association with The Bench weren't trades at all. It was Gonzofan2 just sending me cards out of wanting to help another person. I miss Scott a lot...

Not the largest trade but one of my "best" additions traded a 06 sterling Mantle gu for an 08 A&G Ripken unripped rip card. Who knows, it may be the only one out there and Big Al has dibs on it if it's ever up for trade. Of course he'll have to pry it out of my cold dead hands, lol.

Being a set builder, the ones that have resulted in completion
were all big to me!
......
One of these was also the most interesting and the one I
remember the most fondly. It was some years ago with "bear0555."
......
I had posted that I needed 1 SP more to complete the "Topps
2001 Heritage" baseball. Got a PM from the "bear" saying
that he just happened to have it(in fact,I believe it was the only
extra SP he had). He had built the set and wanted to upgrade a
few cards. Apparently, durring the printing process some of the cards
suffered from a slight groove along the right side of the card. I guess
this was caused by the rollers ?
.......
He described what and where the problem was and the cards affected.
I pulled my set, examined the cards mentioned and "couldn't see a thing."
I looked under a bright light,under the magnifying glass,the eye-piece
magnifying glass and still "couldn't see a thing."
.........
The PMs went back and forth. I was about to give up,thinking that the
cards I had were not affected, but,as "Mike Nelson" used to say on "Sea Hunt",............"Then I Saw It !"
It was the must subtle, yet most obvious thing. Once you DO notice it,
it stuck out like a "sore thumb!"
...........
Anyway,I was able to send the"bear"some cards(minus the groove)and he completed my set.
............
Funny how this trade has stuck in my head all these years,:)
Ken
