Best sets for each year 80's & 90's

Looking for everyone's opinions on what is the best set of each year for the 80s and most of the 90s. I have completed the bowman chrome sets for 1997-1999 and I have the 1989 upper deck done. Just started the 1992 Bowman and 1990 leaf sets. That leaves the following years for suggestions of what everyone thinks the best of the rest is. Will also be getting the Rookies/Traded set of the corresponding 80s base sets.

I liked the 1982 & 1983 Topps sets with Traded...........Remember building the '83 set in Italy, busting packs I bought at the BX...............

I was looking at the 1981 through 1983 Topps. I like them as well. Liking the 1986 donruss. Kinda torn on the 1984, 1985, and 1987 sets. Don't like any of the 1988 sets really. Like the 1984 donruss design but I know there's a bunch of issues with that set. Like both the Topps and donruss sets in the 1985 and 1987.

I bought the 1981 Donruss and Fleer sets from Renata Galasso back in the day and was not impressed......A lot of mistakes and too much drama about gum....... They were not sold in the European Theater........

For 1985 the Fleer set. For 86 and 87, I’d say Donruss again.

83 and 85 topps for HOF rookies and HOF type talent.

My favorite is 1980 Topps but I also like 1983 Topps and 1984 Donruss

Not rteally into baseball but I do like 84 Donruss.
