mrmopar, i totally forgot i had that thread and since i am not on this site nearly as much as i use to be , i totally forgot i had that for sale thread as i post so many of them. how can i see what threads i have so i can follow up or keep track of them? thanks

cool. thank you, i honestly did not even know that option/function even existed, so thank you. also, i really didnt try to ignore anyone, i just really forgot i even posted that thread. i guess next time i post ill have to put in that if anyone was interested to send me a PM, that way it pops up every time i log it, that way i wont forget.

also, i was thinking about ebay because of the great number of potential customers/buyers as everyone knows ebay, im not so sure everyone knows what comc is. how does comc compare to ebay in regards too, customer base or attracting a ton of buyers?

for sportslot, ive never sold on there before. does the seller do all of the work as far as scanning, listing, packing, shipping etc, or do they do the work for the seller like comc does? thanks

Just a couple quick notes - COMC is getting bigger (they're hiring more staff right now) and they have an agreement to sell through Amazon which is pretty amazing. They are second only to eBay in terms of card sales online.

Sportlots is interesting. You have to do the listing and once the card sells, you have to package and ship it. It's like eBay in a way, but with mostly low end product. Their fee structure is not the easiest to understand and if you sell only low end there, you need to do a lot of volume before the fees become even semi-reasonable. I've tried to set myself up on there before, but it was a lot more work than I wanted to do. Then I ran across COMC and the rest is history.

thank you very much for your advice on this, i appreciate it. i looked at the sportslots website and to me personally, it looks really complicated and hard for me to read (maybe its easier for others, but not for me) I was thinking of listing $1.00 cards on ebay, but to be honest, customers/buyers there are a big pain in the !@#. i only like ebay because of the exposure and potential numbers of buyers and people looking at your items. however the more i look into it, it looks like comc is the "new ebay" 25 cents per card seems like a lot but once i put in the cost of my time to scan a card, lit a card, pack a card and deal with needy customers/buyers, comc, is looking more and more like a bargain. the oe and only concern i had/have with comc, is just how much exposure/potential customers will i have on comc versus ebay. i think i will go through the last of my collection and send in the better cards and all the "crap" cards or very low priced cards(3-5 cent commons) just donating them to the local goodwill or childrens hospital. that way all my cards will be a comc and i dont have to deal with my cards anymore.(i have been trying to get out of the hobby for some time now and this might be the best way to do it(collections sent to comc) it might cost alot of money up front to list on comc, but i think in the long run ill make some of it back in sales.

One last thing that will be beneficial to you is that they don't charge up front on your listing fees. Right now they are only charging you as the cards go live, so say you have 100 that go live - they'll probably ask you to pay for that group before you can list as a new seller. After that you've got cards selling, so as more go live you have an accumulation of funds in your account that will basically pay for further submissions. Once they are all live, the money that accumulates is yours.
