Big League is a good issue for the beginning collector. Both veteran and rookies are featured in the set. The player collector should be comfortable with the set - not so many parallels and should be easily attainable. One should need 3 boxes or so to complete the base set.
The cards are printed on a thin stock. The front and the reverse are both matte finish. The front features an action photo and the reverse has a write up of a highlight or two of the players career. No stats are included on the card. The numbering of the cards is weird -- numbers are not all in the same direction... here's an example:

If I read the pack correctly, autos come about 1 every 6-7 boxes .. fortunate to have pulled one!
Overall grade A -- good issue for the beginner.
Go buy several boxes and send the Rays parallels and autos (if any) to me!
