So I have a Bo Nix '24 Absolute #112. It was part of a trade. My question is if the card I have is his true RC or the retail version... Beckett lists his true RC with a ser. number to /350. It's the only Absolute card of his with that serial number. And of course there's a "Retail" version that isn't listed with a ser. number. And for some reason it's not listed as a true RC either.
The card I have doesn't have a serial number stamped on it. My curiosity drove me to ebay to see what other people are listing this card as, and whether there is a card with /350 on it. I scrolled through 250 2024 Absolute Bo Nix cards... This is what I found.

My Card:

This card is listed on ebay as a Silver SP card, I saw 2 like this (Beckett doesn't list a Silver card for Bo Nix #112). It's stamped /350 - Is THIS the actual "Hobby" true RC?

So with this, what do you think? If I had pulled it myself from a box at Walmart I wouldn't be asking... it'd be Retail. But since it was a traded card I wonder....
Thanks for your help!

Did you check trading card database for pics of the different versions of this card? That is my go to for identifying cards.

Welp... I found the listing for Retail... couldn't find the regular hobby listing. But I think I found what I needed. This is what it says for Retail.
What a stinker! Beckett needs some serious updating.

I'm glad I could help a young whippersnapper navigate the interwebs. I know you youngsters are not very adept with this new fangled technology.

That TCDB is invaluable for me in I'Ding cards and making out or filling want lists. I'd seriouisly be lost without it.

Right! I've only been using this contraption for about 28 years. Apparently not long enough to know the basics!
Every time I get on that TCDb I get lost in the web of parallels... Usually spend the majoity of my time on there scrolling the different insert sets trying to decipher the codes, especially from the last 10 years or so.
Thanks for your help, Jeff!

I’d consider it a rookie card as it’s part of the retail base set. If we start considering retail as parallels those box prices had better start tanking soon

Thank you for saying that exactly! A RC IS part of the base set...
