After much deliberation, this will be my final season running the BSL. If someone wants to step up and take over, there is a lot to learn and little time to do it. Heath has made it known he does not want full control of the league, and between everything and anything that pops up and my own time constraints, I don't have the will to do it beyond this season. Between manager issues, software/isp/tech issues, FINDING OWNERS issues, etc. I just don't have it in me anymore.

I will take interested parties via PM. This is a huge commitment, so please don't entertain it if you are not serious.

I will continue owning the Royals if and when the league is transferred over. If no qualified candidate steps up and learns everything, that will probably be the end.

Cory

PS: The sim is on hold for a day or two. I am busy tomorrow all day and have plenty going on today as well.

Damn, don't blame you brother. I don't know how you have done it this long. I wish I was better with the computer stuff but there is no way I could run the behind the scenes stuff. I hope someone can do it because I don't want to lose it. I would certainly do anything I could to help out though. Maybe Heath and his other brother Kendall could tag team it up. Or maybe one of the other more savvy guys ? Anyhow Cory, thanks for all you have done for so long. This league has meant a lot to me in stress relief and diversion.

I am more then willing to run sims I just don't know how to do zip files and set people up and stuff like that. Cory told me he would do the technical stuff originally but now as I expected is backing out. I will take it over and any bumps in the road you guys are gonna have to help me through because Cory leaves a brother on the battlefield.

I'm glad we are at least keeping the league together didn't want a BSL 1.0 happening again since most of us pitched in $$$ for the go daddy site and purchased the original software.

Thanks for the time you put in Cory Everyine in this league has thanked you 100s of times and has shown you appreciation. I'm
Sure your burnt out as anyone would be I think you tried getting out before but some reason took it over again. Heath thanks for stepping up and take the reigns I'm not understanding the "qualified"part? I'm sure anyone who wants to do it that has knowledge of the league can be "qualified"

On my phone so sorry for grammatical errors.

I would be willing to help out anyway I could. I am not a computer expert but know something's. That being said, I still work and am busy with lots of other things. Maybe if we cut back on some of the "technical" stuff, things will be easier to run. How about letting the current owners that want two teams to keep them both? Maybe other owners (like me), would be willing to pick up another team. I think we would be better off with 10 good owners with two teams than 15 good owners with one team and 5 bad owners. We have tried for sometime to get new owners and we don't seem to have much luck. I know when we get a new owner, it is a bunch of work getting them setup. At least the current owners know how to work everything and it will help things run more smoothly. It seems like when we get owners that don't export or make picks in the Rookie Draft, it slows everything down. Just some thoughts. I am sure there are more things we can discuss.

Cory, Thank you for all the help you have given me and the league. I would hate to have the BSL stop now.

Ron

Thanks Mike!!!

Ron I agree with current owners taking 2nd team. I would be willing I know Kendall/Tony/ dome others as well

Cory I need league file on my computer let's just get this ball rolling...I will run sim tommorow if u allow me in your house no reason why a off season sim should take much a few trades & uploads won't take much time. Think we need to keep things simple keep the owners we have and have a good time its enjoyable and a outlet for many of us I'll keep it going somehow someway. If I have to personally pay Cory to help me if I'm stumped I will! So peace of mind to you guys that it will stay alive way to much put onto this by all of us to see it fold. Cory keep in mind you will no longer have "control"

Let me know what I can do to help... Heath and I discussed a while back about a joint commission to keep the league moving.. We do need to get the teams that are lacking owners under new 2nd owners before the start of spring training. Thanks Cory for keeping us going this long and let me know if you want to train me more to be able to run the league.

What 2nd teams are available? Tampa/Detroit/Cubs/San Diego I will take either AL team since I'm in the NL. Anyone who wants a 2nd team let's get it figured out sooner rather then later get things squared away on this.

I have Arizona currently. I will take any NL team.

We should try and keep owners of two teams in each league (AL/NL) if possible.

I agree I wouldn't be much for same league teams and of course no trading with your own 2 teams but you should be able to run your 2nd team as you see fit.

I'm just running Tigers and Cubs until a new owner can take over--Cubs are whomever but Tigers I would prefer a new owner and not as someone's second team.

You will probley be keeping the Tigers for quite sometime considering finding new owners who stay involved seems to be very hard to accomplish.

So from what I can gather is this, and correct me if I am missing something:

Baltimore Orioles 2nd team being run by the Mets
Tampa Bay Rays looking for owner
Chicago White Sox 2nd team being run by the Reds
Minnesota Twins 2nd team being run by the Marlins
Detroit Tigers looking for owner
Atlanta Braves - is Vince still doing this team?
Chicago Cubs looking for owner
San Diego Padres looking for an owner

Is this correct?

I am going to sort through some things and see what I can come up with as far as a plan of succession. I have about 6 topics that went all directions to discuss on this thread, and very few had anything to do with the original issue of my replacement.

8 of 28 teams will need owners. That is a bit crazy.

Possibly a contraction would be the best route. We add about one owner a season and lose 3

Retraction is dumb we have owners willing to take on other teams we can make it work, here again you want to complicate things. The alignment of the league is fine. Leave it be for crying out loud.

Btw when you say your stepping away and the rest of us have to figure out a game plan don't be shocked that we may have went off your quote unquote topic. I just don't get you sometimes

I honestly barely have enough time to run one team so there is no way I could take on another. I am in as long as the league is going and will play by whatever rules are provided. I am not as committed as I was in the BSL 1.0 but do put as much effort as I can.

The LEAGUE is not going to fold... Either Heath or I or someone will take over after Cory steps down. Cory is not leaving either, he will still be here to advice the new commissioner.. Second teams will be given to owners that are willing to do the extra work and keep the team competitive until a potential new owner is found.
