Welcome to the BSL Dennis. You will catch on quickly. Just take it easy on my team (Arizona Diamondbacks). Maybe I can beat you at this (not like the football picks on your site).

Thanks guys, I really do look forward to it. I guess this is the off season going on right now. I guess until Nick sends me the stuff I need I won't see who is even on the Indians.

Welcome to the league my friend. A lot of good people with help you out.
Only word of advice I will offer...

Don't trade Campos or any of your top prospects. If you do end up trading maybe ask advise on it until you are comfortable. Other then that enjoy the time its very fun.

I did look thru the roster some and Campos seems like a keeper and maybe a few in the minors I would like to keep. Seems like pitching is what is needed for me.

Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,

PITCHING is the key to winning......

That will be $5.00 :)

Agreed, a solid rotation top to bottom is the best way to go. Your abßolure keepers should be campos, alvarado, d williams, and prospect gerald johnson. Pm me with any specific questions

Also, keep in mind you cannot trade as a new owner for one calendar week of real life, to help you get used to things. I would honestly build through draft and free agents, until you are comfortable. I am sure the offers are already coming in though.

I was kinda figuring pitching was needed by a lot of teams, though I haven't went thru everyones roster I thought it was a key for everyone. Can you lmk what season is fixing to start. If it is pretty soon I need Nick to get with me so I can get started on this.

Thanks,
Dennis

Dennis,

We just finished the 2016 season so we will be starting 2017 season. SP is tough to get in the draft. We usually don't seem to have many top tier SP in most drafts (not sure why).

Cory (cjay101) is a great help when it come to knowing everything about the BSL. I bugged the **** out of him at the beginning but he was more than willing to help me out.

I am not big on trading. I like to see what I have after a draft and go from there. I also don't rush my guys up to the Major Leagues. I usually don't bring them up until they are good and ready to play in the ML.

You can make what you want with this. Some owners make lots of moves and do a lot with their team. Others just check ever so often and don't do much with their team. It is all up to you.

Ron

So anybody I have signed thru 2016 is fixing to become free agents?

Thanks,
Dennis

These guys below are going to be free agents off your team. Now you will also have 8 players up for arbitration and you need to decide if you're going to offer them arb, and if so, how much--if you don't pick a number the computer will decide for you).
Carlos Lee
Stan Crews
Richard Hall
Jeff Boyd
Jimmy Roberts
David Freese

You also might have guys that have team or player options for 2017. That will be in your inbox for messages when you're up and running. Player options, they will let you know if they are returning or not--team options you need to decide if you will exercise them or not.

No trade offers yet and haven't even thought about a trade. Was just looking at players who are not signed past 2016. Some I would like to keep but honestly Carlos Lee isn't one I want to resign for his age and how much he made in 2016. Campos and Alvarado would be definite keepers.

Do you know when Nick will get ahold of me on what else I need to do? I'm sure he is busy and it may take some time and if so I totally understand that.

Thanks,
Dennis

Thanks, that is what I was gathering from the list of player salaries.

Dennis,

Not a lot happens on the weekends usually. We won't move ahead until your setup. This is the best time to start out. (beginning of a season).

Also, don't expect to much right off the bat. It takes some time to figure things out and teams don't go from first to last. It takes time to work your way up.

Another thing to watch. Always watch what you spend. You don't want to get into a negative cash outcome. It is hard to get out of that quickly and you will lose draft picks if you end up in the negative.
