Meaning....."That's life"...or maybe more appropriate last night "shi* happens"..... :)

Decided to go catch the end of a high school baseball game between Colleyville Heritage and Mansfield High..Had a broken bat I got 23 yrs ago that I was gonna get signed...Bleepin Bleepin Silver paint marker would not work when I pulled into the parking lot...Very frustrating...However, I thankfully and luckily had a GU OMLB in the trunk of my car to salvage the experience. Will have to go next year most likely to get the bat signed...

His kid, Preston, is a sophomore playing varsity and had 6 RBI last night including a grand slam and a double...

He may not be liked by all; but he was definitely one of my very favorites growing up...I loved that swing..so smooth

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is awesome! Raffy had a great swing! Sounds like his son also has one like dad.

Great Job Chris
To bad you could not get the bat signed :( but at least you the ball signed.

Ya I have the worst luck with those MF Silver Paint Sharpies...He was super nice as I was the only person there to ask for an auto(one other guy asked for a pic with him) and since his son's team had just won a series, everyone was in a good mood. I was a little reluctant to ask for the inscription but what's the worst he can say..No, right? Anyway he laughed when I told him I had a broken bat of his that I got at Spring Training 23 yrs ago sitting in my car b/c the stupid marker would not work. His older son plays at UAB and since Preston is only a soph, I should be able to get this done eventually...

thanks guys!!

Very nice pick up in person. Glad he was nice about signing your cards and ball. Hopefully you will get your bat signed soon too.
