Here is the Manny auto I got in person last year when he was rehabing with the Inland Empire 66ers:

I probably would not be able to convince anybody that this is a Manny auto, but it is (NO April fools)....A few of us that had things signed by Manny that day, all sigs were different....you are better off getting a certified auto of Manny.....

thanks for sharing, i think manny has a few different signatures. mine doesnt look like that one! anyone else have any comments in regards to the authenticity of this manny? would like to get a few different opinions before i decide to keep or trash this auto! thanks
elbert

Seriously. If someone was going to fake a Manny autograph, they would not make it look so different. I have seen Many sign 3 different autographs while signing for a single crowd.
I think you got a great deal on a Manny auto!

thanks, thats encouraging news. i know that a few players over the years have changed their autos. i got one player when he was in the minors, once he got to the big leagues his auto changed! i also saw one time that one players auto differed from his ip auto to his certified auto. so, i dont think in the autograph world there are any real definites, it would be pretty cool though if this manny auto was/is the real deal....thanks for your input.

It's possible, but I didn't have a good feeling. I bid on it to mark it, planning to go back and do some research. After looking it over as well as the other listings, I backed off. The sellers has tons of big names and several look suspect. Check out some other offerings:

http://cgi.ebay.com/MIKE-SCHMIDT-AU...aultDomain_0&hash=item27b9b0a90c#ht_500wt_922

http://cgi.ebay.com/NOLAN-RYAN-AUTO...aultDomain_0&hash=item27b9d609f0#ht_500wt_922

http://cgi.ebay.com/RODGER-CLEMENS-...ultDomain_0&hash=item27b90cf5d8#ht_485wt_1178

These all look funny to me. Maybe the seller has a mix of real and not...maybe they are all real. Impossible to know for sure, but not worth the risk to me.

I have one that is similar to greatdadx2. I would say you got taken on this one. I got him on Saturday at the Rays game and every card he signed was on the back! Everyone of them also look different so I would say the only way you can confirm a real Manny is to get it yourself in person.

Yea, I got Manny on 3 different baseballs and every autograph is different. The Guy cracks me up.

This isn't a good sign either, but I just got it today. You might still have recourse if you are doubting the authenticity. I assume you got this same email from ebay:

MC015 Security notice: eBay listing removed - xxxxxxxxx

Hello xxxxxxx ([email protected]),

We're writing to let you know that this listing for an item you won or bid on is no longer available:

170618516100 - ~MANNY RAMIREZ AUTO 2010 TOPPS CARD #55~DODGERS~W/COA

We understand this may be disappointing, but occasionally we need to remove listings. In some cases, the item itself is fine, but was listed in a way that didn't follow eBay's guidelines.

Here's what you can do next:

-- If you already paid, received your item, and you're satisfied, please disregard this notice.
-- If you won the item but haven't paid, don't pay. Since eBay removed the listing, you're no longer obligated to go through with the transaction.
-- If you already paid for this item through eBay, and it's past the estimated delivery time, you can open a case in our Resolution Center. Click the link below, and select the "I haven't received it yet" option. This will guide you through the process of opening a case.
http://resolutioncenter.ebay.com

If the seller offers you the item outside of eBay, we strongly discourage you from accepting the offer. These types of transactions are extremely risky and aren't covered by eBay buyer protection programs.

If you didn't pay through eBay or PayPal, and:
-- You paid by Western Union or MoneyGram, contact the company directly (Western Union 800-325-6000 or MoneyGram 800-926-9400).
-- You paid by check, contact your bank to stop payment.

Thanks,

eBay
