Has anyone ever had any success with comic book writers or artists through the mail? They are really good at signing at shows and festivals and such and rarely charge there. Just wondering.

You know, I don't know, but I would guess that artists get many fewer requests than sports figures, so if you were looking to get signed comics, you would have a good chance. My suggestion would be to write to someone via their home address (whitepages.com) probably, or via their studio (simple google search) if they have one. Send a comic you dont mind not getting back, just in case!

Post successes if you end up sending some out, this sounds like the makings of a cool project!
