I'm going to keep trying to work on this. I have some 1993 Finest base that you need...I'll try to list them to work a larger deal. Thanks, Rob.

Rob,

Sounds great. I do have some autos as well in case there are any that interest you. Some are the VHTG 2010 Topps Series 2 Group A autos. I am willing to trade those for a decent amount of needs, especially for 1993 Finest, 1996 Finest, 1997 Finest, 2000 Finest, 2001 Finest, 1974 Topps and 1978 Topps.

Thanks!

-Justin

Sure, if you can list some, that would be great.
I definitely have some silver SP's from 1996 and 1997 Finest, and should still have stars from 1993 Finest.
Also have a Hong-Chih Kuo (RC) auto from 2006 that booked for $50 last I checked. I can move it to you if you still need it for your set.

Thanks, Rob.

Rob,

Here are the autos priced. If they are listed as N/A, then they are Group A autos. I would trade at the price I bought them at (Morneau I bought at 40 and traded at 40).

Bailey 10.00
Carpenter 8.00
Ethier 30.00
Hill 10.00
Maybin 8.00
Ruiz 12.00
Volstad 8.00
Braden 12.00
Cabrera 8.00
Volquez 8.00
Carmona 10.00
Gonzalez 8.00
Kendrick 10.00
Pence N/A (Bought at 15)
Bartlett 10.00
Dye 10.00
Francoeur N/A (Bought at 25) - I think this has a slight nick in it.
Outman 8.00
Peralta 12.00
Rivera 10.00
Saunders 12.00
Uehara N/A (Bought at 15)
Marson 8.00
Napoli 25.00
Schmidt N/A (Bought at 125)
Tolbert N/A (Bought at 8)
Young N/A (Bought at 20)
Evans 8.00
Hughes 25.00
Perry 8.00
Wells N/A (Bought at 15)
Hunter N/A (Bought at 30)
Snider 12.00
Jimenez 30.00
Davis 12.00
Billingsley 12.00
Getz 8.00
Gomez 8.00
McGowan 8.00
Devine 10.00
Francis 10.00
Motte 8.00
Reddick 10.00
Soria 8.00
Scherzer 10.00

I will have to double check first names. For instance, Carpenter is Andrew Carpenter, not Chris. I definitely need the Kuo and it is still BV at 50. Will trade all BV for BV. No weight for autos on these massive needs.

Thanks!

-Justin

EDIT: Had to remove 4 cards due to being traded and not knocked off the word document I copied this from.

Well this is quite a list. I'll give you everything I possibly can find from your needs.
Did you give up on the Peak Performance auto set? It is quite a large set (with both series and Topps U&H), but you put forth quite an effort with the tough Group A autos.

Consider the Kuo yours. I have a bunch of the cheaper 2006 Finest autos as well, but I'm afraid they might be refractors--don't know how many of the base autos I have left.

I'll get to work on finding some of your bigger needs from 1993, 96, and 97 Finest. And might just have some HOFers/stars from 1974 and 1978 (besides the Dave Parker RC).

Speaking of which, do you still need the Molitor/Trammell 1978 Topps RC? I have a pretty decent copy, no ink smudge.

Thanks, Rob.

Rob,

Yeah, I gave one heck of a shot at the auto set. But I had to stop 12 autos left into the A set. Sellers wanted 100+ for each remaining auto. Cheapest Group A Raul Ibanez was 80. I thought that was too much. Aparicio was 50, which is not too bad. Brian McCann Group A over 9 months bottomed out at 40. But I still had McCovey, Ozzie, and a few other really hard guys to get. Not to mention the 4-5 Group B autos that guys wanted to sell for double their worth (Pedroia for 50 instead of BV 25). I didn't want to end up putting in over 1k for the last cards I needed. So I figured focus on the Finest sets that I'd prefer to have in the end.

For the 2006, autos if they are refractors of base cards, I am OK with that. I also definitely need the Molitor/Trammel rookie card.

Thanks!

Justin I did some searching this morning, and got a decent-sized group together. I have some sp's from 97 and 00 Finest, but you have them already. I was able to make some hits to other sets though.

74 Topps 252 Parker RC

78 Topps 460 Hunter, 707 Molitor/Trammell RC

93 Finest (a nice group, all individually sleeved from a lot I bought on EBay back when I was working on this set) 2 19 33 36 37 42 43 50 53 56 64 75 84 88 94 106 122 172 173 180 183 194 195

96 Finest (all silvers) 60 241 284 317 341

97 Finest 117 Mo Rivera S

06 Finest 144 Kuo AU (RC)

07 Finest 162 Fields AU, 165 Moore AU

One quick note on the vintage cards. I am confident the condition will be acceptable to you. The Hunter is the best of all, 4 sharp corners and no wear. Centering probably 60-40 or better all around. The Parker RC is a little more complicated, now that I look at it closely. All 4 corners come to a point and are white. One corner has a slight indentation but not a ding. But 1 edge is cut a little rough. Centering about 70-30 left-right.
Molitor/Trammell RC has one fuzzy corner but no ink blotch (the big defect that usually affects this card). Centering about 50-50 all the way around. I've had it my PC for about 5 yrs. I got it in trade from a friend who's also a longtime member here, and he bought it from a local card shop for his rookie card collection. I likely have a scan of it already if you'd like to see one.

Lastly, here are the refractor autos I have from the sets you're doing.
05 Finest 144 Chip Cannon refractor #157/399
06 Finest 145 Jason Botts #79/399
06 Finest 148 Scott Olsen #197/399
06 Finest 150 Dan Ortmeier blue ref #118/299 and green ref #121/199
06 Finest 154 Anthony Lerew blue ref #134/299

From here, let me know what you can use from the above and we can try to wrap this up. We can also adjust any values for condition if need be. In terms of bv of the autos, Kuo is $50, Cannon is $20, and the others are about $10. LMK if you need any other info. Thanks!

Robert,

Here are all the Beckett Values on each, totals for lot base cards. I put the NM, EX-MT, EX listings down for the Parker. Doesn't seem like too much of an issue. If we're 5.00 one way or the other (say it comes down to 10.00 or 5.00 for the Parker), it doesn't make too much a difference for me, if it doesn't for you. So we can stick to a 10.00 BV.

74 Topps 252 Parker RC (10.00 NM, 5.00 EX-MT, 4.00 EX)

78 Topps 460 Hunter, 707 Molitor/Trammell RC (2.50, 50.00)

93 Finest (a nice group, all individually sleeved from a lot I bought on EBay back when I was working on this set) 2 19 33 36 37 42 43 50 53 56 64 75 84 88 94 106 122 172 173 180 183 194 195 (total BV is 59.50)

96 Finest (all silvers) 60 241 284 317 341 (Total BV is 14.00)

97 Finest 117 Mo Rivera S (BV 5.00)

06 Finest 144 Kuo AU (RC) (BV 50.00)

07 Finest 162 Fields AU, 165 Moore AU (BV 10.00 Each)

05 Finest 144 Chip Cannon refractor #157/399 (BV 20.00)
06 Finest 145 Jason Botts #79/399 (BV 10.00)
06 Finest 148 Scott Olsen #197/399 (BV 15.00)
06 Finest 150 Dan Ortmeier blue ref #118/299 and green ref #121/199 (Both are BV 10.00)
06 Finest 154 Anthony Lerew blue ref #134/299 (BV 10.00)

I could use all of the above, except only one blue or green Ortmeier refractor. That would be a total BV of 276.00. If you can find enough to cover all that, I'm all for it. If not, the order of preference (highest priority to lowest) for the cards would be:

78 Topps 460 Hunter, 707 Molitor/Trammell RC (2.50, 50.00)
96 Finest (all silvers) 60 241 284 317 341 (Total BV is 14.00)
97 Finest 117 Mo Rivera S (BV 5.00)
06 Finest 144 Kuo AU (RC) (BV 50.00)
07 Finest 162 Fields AU, 165 Moore AU (BV 10.00 Each)
05 Finest 144 Chip Cannon refractor #157/399 (BV 20.00)
06 Finest 145 Jason Botts #79/399 (BV 10.00)
06 Finest 148 Scott Olsen #197/399 (BV 15.00)
06 Finest 150 Dan Ortmeier blue ref #118/299 and green ref #121/199 (Both are BV 10.00)
06 Finest 154 Anthony Lerew blue ref #134/299 (BV 10.00)
74 Topps 252 Parker RC (10.00 NM, 5.00 EX-MT, 4.00 EX)
93 Finest (a nice group, all individually sleeved from a lot I bought on EBay back when I was working on this set) 2 19 33 36 37 42 43 50 53 56 64 75 84 88 94 106 122 172 173 180 183 194 195 (total BV is 59.50)

Please let me know what you'd like to do. Thanks!

-Justin

Justin I have one more small group to add to our trade:
93 Finest 41 72 187 190
96 Finest 236 McGwire

I also wanted to ask--do you still have the Morneau Peak Performance auto? I saw you mentioned it, but didn't see it in the list of autos that you have.

Thanks, Rob.

Robert,

The Morneau was traded about two months back. It's the only Group A auto that I have traded so far, which is why I used that as the example. Sorry to cause any confusion about that.

Ah got it, thanks for explaining.
I just came across 2 more 93 Finest:
74 Devereaux
119 Biggio, which I'll add to your pile.

I'll try to work up a trade a little later on. Thanks!

Robert

Everyone else. I added some 2003 Topps Traded Chrome (50 total cards), some 2003 Topps Traded Gold, a Cano Rookie and picked up about 100 1994 Finest (Including a Bonds FIN) for trade.

Still looking for roughly 1000 cards worth of help!

Thanks!

-Justin

Justin, here's what I came up with it. First, the additions I found for you after the $276 BV group listed above (a big thanks for looking up all those values!)

1993 Finest #41 Glenn Davis $1.50
1993 Finest #72 Chuck Finley $2.50
1993 Finest #74 Mike Devereaux $1.50
1993 Finest #119 Craig Biggio $4.00
1993 Finest #187 Ray Lankford $2.50
1993 Finest #190 Edgar Martinez $4.00
1994 Finest #223 Rickey Henderson FIN $3.00
1995 Finest #129 Craig Biggio $1.50
1996 Finest #B236 Mark McGwire B $3.00
$23.50 BV for this group, plus $276 from the previous group makes $299.50.

I'll keep working on a trade offer. Thanks, Rob.

Robert,

No problem. I'll definitely hang tight for an offer. Thanks!

-Justin
