CONTEST
IS
OVER

a survey was taken, "name approximately 8-10 innovations from the past few decades that would be the hardest to live without".

the contest is this:

1. list in order what you think those items were, from hardest to live without, to least. (please list these as so...
1.
2.
3.
and so on, down, not across please)

2. first person to answer the top 8 correctly, wins!!

3. i will check periodically and let each person know how many they've gotten correct, and if any were in the correct spot on the list.
(example mj23bullsfan lists 8 items, and i let him know that he got 3/1, meaning - 3 correct, 1 in the right spot on the list)

4. you can play once every 24 hours.

5. winner will recieve 2 or 3 HOF cards to be named a little later today.

thanx and have fun,
paul

I thought I would offer mine from a personal perspective. Not that these are necessarily "can't live without" innovations, but you have to really consider how prevalent they are in everyday life. I'm sure there are many in the technical, medical and other arenas that I am completely oblivious to.

Microwave - I almost feel like this is an actual "can't live without" item. Sure, stoves and ovens do the same thing, but take much more time and are not portable.

The rest you can live without very easily, but they are nice to have:

Internet
PC
Email/E-fax
Remotes of any kind, but specifically garage doors and TV remotes
cellular phone
digital camera
television - This one is a bit older, but I ran out of ideas.
