Does anybody out there use Facebook as another method of trading? I am a yes, there are so many specific groups that are amazing in helping find cards from vintage to modern releases.

There are Heritage groups I've stumbled upon. As a result, I've sold some singles and traded for Heritage Chromes I've needed from this year.

I am in a couple of vintage, a couple of A/G and a couple of general trade groups - definitely help fill in the gaps when it slows down here

A ton of scammers on Facebook groups, they try and weed them out but it’s tough to decipher trustworthy traders and sellers…I just click likes 👍 on cards I see and are interested in…kind of a bummer!

Thanks Josh

This is a fair point - FB certainly does not have the security built in that we have here at The Bench. I have tried to minimize the value of what I am trading/buying/selling to an acceptable level of risk to start.

I DO THERE ARE SOME GREAT PLACES TO DEAL WITH YOU JUSTHAVE TO BE CAREFUL I HAVE USED DIFFERENT ONES TO TRADE AND HAVENT GOT BURNED YET

This sort of nails what I am finding beneficial - the specificity of groups allows you to narrow down what you are searching for and find people that are doing the exact same thing as you are. When the well runs dry here - it is another option v. just going to ebay and buying!

I even cancelled my eBay account due to how easy it is to scam and how long it takes for eBay to help you out or resolve things…it’s a joke for small time sellers…no protection for sellers!

Thanks Josh

Completely understand the frustration with Ebay!!!

Was talking in the chat room about selling large lots of RC/inserts to the local LCS - may not make as much as on Ebay, but the hassle is way less.

I use FB for buying and try trading, but seems like everyone wants to sell. Its a little more difficult becuase people want coined pictures....I do sets so I need cards and numbers. I have done a lot of purchases and probably 1/2 trades. I found many people don't have collections over many sets. Its like the only collect one brand. They also seem to trade more freely like 1 card for 1 card and not so much value for value.

Yeah LCS have overhead so they usually buy at 80% comps…but less worry on scammers and shipping!

Thanks Josh

Believe it or not, 2 of my biggest sales ever were on Craigslist, which is renowned for shady characters, so I don't recommend this option. I did deal with some messages from scammers or bots who wanted my contact information. I blocked/ignored them and thankfully I haven't been scammed (as far as I can tell o_O)

I feel like I need to venture out because I think I have tapped out all the bowman's best traders on here, sportscardforum and beckett. LOL
