Does anyone remember this happening in 1988?

So I've noticed in the Walgreens repacks for a minute now that when the unopened pack is 88 Donruss, the cards are in almost perfect numerical order? Like this pack I opened tonight ran from #299 Mickey Hatcher to 313 Chilli Davis. The only exception was instead of card 300 I got 36 Joey Meyer....it's almost like they had extra wrappers and just broke up a bunch of factory sets... and this picture is exactly like they were in the pack20250624_201340.jpg

I distinctly remember these always having runs of at least 5 or 6 cards in order. It made it very easy to sort. Noticed Donruss did something like that last year too.

I think you're right.........I remember opening some of those and they were never in order like that........
it's weird too, because the Hatcher, which was the back card, there wasn't much of a wax stain feel to it. Not much of a conspiracy as 88 Donruss are as common as pennies, however...
